Doing the right thing should never be the responsibility of a selected group of people, but instead, everyone.

One very important royal figure may have just proven such a sentiment by setting a great example for Malaysians everywhere.

Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah has been receiving praise online after a video of His Majesty driving and giving way to an ambulance with its sirens on was posted to the official Istana Negara Facebook page.

In the 11-second clip, the Agong can be seen driving on the left lane of a road before an ambulance overtakes his vehicle on the right lane. His right hand can be seen balancing on the right window of the car with the frame rolled down, signalling to the ambulance to overtake him.

After the ambulance passes, His Majesty can be seen moving back to the right lane, with a royal escort riding just a few feet in front of his car.

In the caption of the Facebook post, it was revealed that His Majesty was on his way from Pekan, Pahang, to the Abdulaziz Palace in Kuantan

"HRH His Majesty Yang di-Pertuan Agong prioritised a citizen who was in a state of emergency by giving way to an ambulance in Pekan, Pahang, this evening.

"His Royal Majesty was on his way to the Abdulaziz Palace in Kuantan from Pekan, when the ambulance, which was carrying a patient who required immediate medical attention, appeared behind his motorcade," read the caption.

"Long live the king. May you and your family have a long life filled with prosperity, peace, and happiness of the people," wrote one user.

Another user even commended His Majesty for being a great example to the public.
