A shopping mall in Johor Bahru recently held the cutest little competition for cat parents to bring out their chubby little fur babies for show
Sutera Mall shared a Facebook post of the event that was held on Sunday, 30 April, called the 'Fat Cat Competition', held in conjunction with its self-organised Sutera Pet Fair 2023.
"Look at all the cute and chubby cats [that] gathered at Sutera Mall today! Aww, cuteness overload indeed!" the mall wrote while sharing photos of the event.

And boy, were the cats chonky indeed
According to Citizens Journal, the contest at Sutera Mall involved weighing the cats and measuring their girth, which entertained all the pet lovers at the event.

Many netizens loved the photos of the chonky competitors, with some cheekily tagging their friends and family to sign up their own fat cats.
However, a few people were concerned that such events may encourage owners to intentionally overfeed their cats.
