Sultan Ibrahim Visits Nasi Lemak Restaurant In KL For Breakfast On His Official Birthday

His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, visited a nasi lemak restaurant in Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur on his official birthday yesterday, 3 June

His visit to Nasi Lemak Wanjo Kampung Baru surprised the crowd at the popular restaurant.

"Sultan Ibrahim made a surprise visit to Kampung Baru today (3 June) for breakfast.

"The King was delighted to dine at Nasi Lemak Wanjo, and his arrival surprised the patrons, creating a buzz of excitement.

"During his visit, Sultan Ibrahim took the time to engage with the public, chatting and taking photographs with those present," read the caption on Sultan Ibrahim's Facebook post.

Based on the photos, the King arrived at the restaurant in a Mercedes G-Class, which he drove himself

Sultan Ibrahim also enjoyed a cup of teh tarik with his nasi lemak.

In one photograph, he is seen conversing with the restaurant's staff members and giving a thumbs up.

At the time of writing, a video of Sultan Ibrahim having breakfast at the restaurant has garnered over 312,000 views on Instagram.

Sultan Ibrahim celebrated his official birthday yesterday; however, his actual birthday falls on 22 November

For the past three years, the first Monday of June has been declared a public holiday to celebrate the King's official birthday.

Last month, government spokesman Fahmi Fadzil announced that Sultan Ibrahim had consented to postpone the birthday celebrations from June to September, while keeping 3 June this year as a public holiday.

Sultan Ibrahim's coronation as the 17th King of Malaysia is scheduled for 20 July.
