Port Dickson Army Museum Introduces Admission Fees After 19 Years of Free Entry
The museum, which opened in 2005, had provided free access to its exhibits and displays.
The Port Dickson Army Museum has begun charging visitors admission fees for the first time since its opening in 2005
For nearly 20 years, visitors have been able to explore the museum for free. However, Bernama reported that the state government recommended introducing a reasonable entrance fee to help cover the museum's maintenance costs.
According to the museum's Facebook page, the rates were implemented starting 1 January 2025.
For Malaysian citizens, adults need to pay RM2, while senior citizens, people with disabilities (OKU), and children aged 7 to 12 are charged RM1. Children under 6 years old can enter for free.
For non-Malaysian citizens, entry fees for adults and children aged 7 to 12 are priced at RM5 and RM2, respectively. Similar to Malaysian citizens, children under 6 years old can enter for free.

With nine galleries showcasing artifacts, uniforms, and weapons from various eras, the museum also features an audio-visual hall, where visitors can delve deeper into specific historical events, local resistance fighters, and military campaigns.
One of the museum's highlights is its impressive outdoor display of vintage military equipment, including tanks, helicopters, armoured vehicles, and artillery pieces, offering glimpses into the technology and firepower that have defended the nation.

The museum is open from Wednesdays to Sundays and on public holidays from 10am to 5pm
The last ticket sale is at 4.30pm.
