With a fund of RM150 million, this initiative gives everyone the opportunity to renew their road tax for cars and motorcycles for free via the BJAK platform.

Running since March 2024, the initiative is expected to benefit over 6 million consumers across Malaysia, providing them with unparalleled convenience and accessibility.

In addition to the free renewal offer, BJAK also addresses the financial burden of vehicle owners by providing installment payment plans for insurance renewal, allowing customers to spread payments over a period of up to 12 months.

"We are very pleased to offer all Malaysians the opportunity to renew their road tax for free through this programme. As a technology-driven company, we are committed to accelerating Malaysia's digitisation, and this initiative is in line with our vision.

"This huge investment aims to encourage more Malaysians to use digital solutions for their road tax renewal, accessing all the benefits of digitisation with ease, variety, and convenience," said Mandy Foong, BJAK's Vice President of Marketing.

This programme is not only in line with government's digitisation of the road tax renewal process, but also supports Malaysia's wider digital transformation agenda

ICYMI, the Road Transport Department (JPJ) has introduced a digital road tax system that allows vehicle owners to share their e-LKM (Digital Motor Vehicle License) with other drivers through the MyJPJ application.

In line with this, BJAK's initiative further simplifies the road tax renewal process. By promoting renewal online, BJAK also aims to decrease the need to physically go to renewal centers, reducing the number of queues and improving overall efficiency.

Moreover, this campaign is proof of BJAK's commitment to environmental sustainability, contributing to a greener and more sustainable future by reducing reliance on paper-based transactions and physical travel.
