Need to get your kitties shipped somewhere safe and sound?

Malaysia has its own cat taxi service that ferries them to and from your very own doorstep!

My Furry World is a pet taxi service headed by a husband and wife duo, Amier, 55, and Nikki, 48.

Speaking to SAYS, Nikki revealed that the couple were originally cat rescue volunteers. However, they realised that there was a lack of pet transporting services in Malaysia, especially for injured cats, prompting them to start their own taxi service for pets.

"Our service then extended to other pet parents who want to get their pets delivered to [a] new home or even to the vet," she said.

Plus, they don't just ship cats, but other small pets such as rabbits and hamsters.

"Will my furbaby be safe and comfortable?"

Nikki revealed My Furry World takes extra precautions to ensure your pets have a pleasant trip, prioritising their comfort and safety, as well as hygiene.

Cats who are prone to stress during the transportation process will be provided with catnip or Feliway spray to soothe and relax them.

Additionally, pets will have their own individual carriers which are safely secured by seatbelts. Pet sheets will also be provided for them.

For out of town trips, the 'taxi' will make two stops to check on the condition of the animals. Anxious pet parents can also rest assuredly as they will be kept in the loop throughout their furbaby's journey.

"We usually send pet parents our live location and we usually provide regular updates," Nikki explained.

She also encouraged cat parents not to feed the cats for at least two hours prior to avoid motion sickness and vomiting during the trips.

"Where do they operate? What are their rates?"

The company offers delivery services throughout Peninsular Malaysia and their rates vary depending on the destination and number of pets, ranging from RM50 to RM400.

For trips that cross state lines, furbabies that belong to a few different owners will carpool together to maximise efficiency (and keep each other company on the long ride to and from home).

However, pet parents worried about the transmission of fleas, ticks, or other airborne diseases can also opt for private trips that range from RM300 to RM900.

You can contact My Furry World on either Facebook or WhatsApp, where you will be required to fill up the necessary details in the company's booking form.
