KL Has Over 10,000 Tecoma 'Cherry Blossom' Trees. You Can Find Them In These Areas

Photos of tecoma trees have been buzzing all over social media lately, as many have discovered that Malaysia has its very own 'sakura-like' trees, similar to those in Japan

According to a viral Facebook post by Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) on Tuesday, 27 March, there are over 10,000 tecoma trees that have been planted all over KL!
About 1,173 trees can be spotted along roadsides while the rest have been planted at public parks.
Decked in delicate pink and white flowers, tecoma trees in Malaysia only bloom for two weeks in March every year
Many of these calming beauties can be seen along Jalan Kelang Lama, Jalan Kuching, Jalan Sri Permaisuri, Jalan Metroprima Kepong, and NPE Highway.
Others shared online that they've also spotted them in Puchong, Putrajaya, Selayang, Johor Bahru, and Miri.
In the Facebook post, DBKL stated that it aims to plant more in the future.
