Attention, all weekend travellers! KTM Berhad (KTMB) has arranged a special train service from KL Sentral to Hat Yai, Thailand for the Labour Day long weekend

Last week, KTMB announced on Facebook that they will be arranging special trips for holiday-goers to travel from Kuala Lumpur to Hat Yai for only RM75 one-way or RM150 for a round-trip.

The 'My Sawasdee' train will operate on these two coming weekends:
– 28 April (Friday) to 1 May (Monday)
– 26 May (Friday) to 29 May (Monday)

The special service makes less stops than the regular ETS trains, which means that passengers will save on travel time.

The My Sawasdee train stops only at Tanjung Malim, Ipoh, Taiping, and Padang Besar stations.

The train will be leaving Kuala Lumpur at 10.40pm on Friday, while the return ride arrives back at 11.05pm on Monday

According to KTMB's schedules, the train ride from Kuala Lumpur to Hat Yai takes about eleven hours one way.

It is planning to depart KL Sentral at 10.40pm at night on Friday, and arrive in Hat Yai the next morning at 10.05am.

Meanwhile, the ride back plans to depart Hat Yai junction at 10.30am on Monday, and arrive back in Kuala Lumpur at 11.05pm on the same day.

This means travellers will be able to spend about two full days to explore Hat Yai.
