"It's Just A Cable" — Shah Alam Theme Park Says There's No Crack In Glass Water Slide

A newly opened 600m glass water slide in I-City, Shah Alam has caught the attention of thrill-seekers, but not everyone is excited

Videos circulating online show what appears to be a crack in the transparent structure, sparking safety concerns among netizens.
The theme park, however, has stepped forward to address the issue, reassuring visitors that the slide is completely safe.

In a video statement, the park clarified: "It is actually the lighting cable, everyone! We always prioritise your safety and do daily maintenance and [checks]" before allowing anyone on the ride.

Touted as Malaysia's first-ever glass slide, this 600m attraction invites visitors to hop on a float and glide through its thrilling loops and turns.
To enhance the experience, the slide is illuminated with vibrant LED lights, making it even more spectacular at night.

The ride costs RM35 for children and RM45 for adults. Floats and raincoats are included at no extra charge.

The park is running a promotional package from now until 28 February 2025, valid for both Malaysians and international visitors.
Tickets can be purchased online through the i-City SuperApp, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store or their website.
Once purchased, tickets will be credited under "My Active Tickets" in the app. To enter, simply present the QR code at the attraction. Tickets are only valid on the day of purchase, and there will be no refunds for closures due to maintenance or bad weather.
