A traveller and content creator recently uploaded a TikTok video, in which she shared some of the things she did not like during her stay in Singapore

In the one-minute clip, the content creator, Grace, said Singapore is not her favourite place to travel to among the 33 different countries she has visited.

The traveller said she did not enjoy her stay as the locals were rude to her.

Using her taxi driver as an example, she claimed that he did not smile at her and forced her to load her luggage into his car herself.

"The only time he talked was to ask how much money I made," she said.

Grace also said she disliked visiting Singapore because it did not feel like an Asian country

According to the traveller, the county felt "super Westernised" due to the number of expats living there.

She also lamented the fact that she had to spend a lot of money during her stay.

"Everything was expensive. We stayed at Marina Bay Sands and this room alone cost us a fortune," she said while showing her hotel room.

"I also don't understand why people are so obsessed with this hotel and this pool deck. I've stayed at so many better hotels that were actually worth paying for," she added.

The content creator stated that the country felt "artificial" due to the lack of "natural substances"

"Everything is man-made and created just for entertainment. I feel like it's the Las Vegas of Asia, but not actually quite there yet.

"Don't get me wrong, the gardens are so pretty and I loved walking through everything, but there are just no natural substances to the country," she said, concluding her video.

At the time of writing, the video has garnered over 430,000 views and 19,800 likes.

Netizens gave mixed reactions towards Grace's opinions

One user agreed with the content creator and said that "artificial" is the best word to describe Singapore.

Meanwhile, another user questioned why the content creator would complain about Singapore's prices after staying at Marina Bay Sands, one of the most expensive hotels there.

"Could you elaborate on what you meant when you said Singapore doesn't feel Asian? What kind of stereotypes are you looking for?" wrote another.
