What's extra cool is that each country has their own way of cheering while watching football matches. For example, here in Malaysia, it's not uncommon to hear everyone chanting "ole, ole, ole" or doing the Mexican wave.

Other iconic ways of cheering include Argentina's "Vamos, vamos, Argentina!" and Iceland's rhythmic Viking clap. And true football fans will recognise Panama's "Ring, Ring, Alo, Alo contesten el tel que Panama goleo", as well as Costa Rica's "Ole, Ole-Ole-Ole! Ticos! Ticos!".

Since the World Cup is being held in Qatar this year, it's the perfect time to learn a typical Arabic football cheer — "Yalla! Yalla!"

Yalla is a common expression in the Arabic language which means "come on" or "let's get going", and is mostly used to say "hurry up".

To make it a bit more Malaysian, you can chant "yalla bola!" while watching World Cup 2022 matches, hehe.

And when it comes to places to gather with friends to watch football matches, there's no better place than a mamak, which is why there's gonna be some super fun football events going on at mamaks in December

Spreading the 2022 football fever, the Yalla Bola kat Mamak event is set to be really happening. Hosted by Hanif Miswan, there'll be games with prizes to be won, free food for early birds, lucky draws, and lots of freebies — football fans, y'all definitely won't wanna miss out!

You'll also get the chance to participate in a Meet & Greet session with Shahrom Kalam, a popular retired Malaysian footballer who used to play for the Kuala Lumpur Football Academy and the Malaysia national football team.

Here are the event deets:
- 10 December 2022: 9pm @ Colosseum Cafe, Cyberjaya
- 18 December 2022: 9pm @ NZ Curry House, Wangsa Maju

Mark your calendars to join the Yalla Bola kat Mamak event to celebrate and have tonnes of football fun with your fellow kaki bola!
