1. Licky Chan's sticky date cake

Alcoholic ice cream shop Licky Chan has prepared a 'Lou Sang Cake' as a tribute to the traditional dish for the Lunar New Year.

It's a sticky date cake with six toppings, to which the shop recommends adding on their ice cream flavours, Fior di Latte, I'm Kamming Out, and Monkey Business, to match (and maybe, toss?).

The 'Lou Sang Cake' is priced at RM88.

2. Copaa KL's pucuk paku yee sang

For a local twist, Copaa KL is offering a pucuk paku yee sang complete with Sabah sea coral, jackfruit, mandarin oranges, pomegranate, roasted coconut flakes, and more fresh ingredients.

The yee sang comes with a special housemade plum sauce with lychee juice and osmanthus flower.

3. Maria's SteakCafe's pulled beef yee sang

While fish is usually the star of the dish, Maria's SteakCafe is giving customers an interesting take by adding pulled beef onto their yee sang.

The steakhouse's yee sang is priced at RM98 for medium and RM178 for large.

4. ANTE's serrano ham yee sang

Instead of thinly-sliced raw salmon, how about thinly-sliced Spanish-style slow aged ham?

Available starting 24 January, ANTE is offering a 'Jamon Serrano Loh Sang', which features the specially-imported ham, fresh fruits and vegetables, deep fried potato yam, macadamia nuts, as well as a housemade orange plum sticky sauce.

5. Aliyaa's Sri Lankan crab yee sang

MICHELIN-selected Aliyaa, well-known for its Sri Lankan cuisine, has also given the yee sang its own special spin.

Try out their Sri Lankan-inspired yee sang that comes with a variety of sambol, potato poriyal, and deep fried seacrab, topped with crispy papadam.

Priced at RM88 for two to three people, it is available for dine-in or takeaway from 1 February to 12 February.

6. La Juiceria's tempeh chips yee sang

For a healthy spin, La Juiceria has announced its 'Longevity Yee Sang', featuring organic tempeh chips and 18 other fresh and natural ingredients.

It is available in mini, medium, and large sizes, from 24 January to 24 February, at all La Juiceria outlets.
