16-Year-Old In Kelantan Sinks To Bottom Of River After Saving 3 Boys From Drowning
Seeing the boys struggle to stay afloat, Wan Muhammad Azammudin immediately jumped in to rescue them.
A 16-year-old was found dead after rescuing three boys who almost drowned in Kota Bharu, Kelantan
Bernama reported that the incident took place yesterday, 19 January, at Sungai Perupok in Kampung Perupok Tikat.
The victim has been identified as Wan Muhammad Azammudin Wan Aznan.

Wan Muhammad Azammudin was outside of his house when he saw a group of children drowning.
He managed to bring all them to safety; however, he later drowned.
According to New Straits Times, the children he saved were between the ages of nine and 14.
While playing in the water, one of them struggled to stay afloat.
Kelantan police chief Datuk Shafien Mamat explained, "The others tried to help their friend but they started getting pulled into the river. Seeing this, Wan Muhammad Azammudin, who was at the riverbank, immediately jumped in to rescue them. He managed to save the boys but was swept away in the process."

Policemen, firemen, and villagers were sent out to look for the teen.
Wan Muhammad Azammudin's body was finally found at the bottom of the river.
The river was 3.3m deep, Sinar Harian reported. Around 6.40pm, the team managed to locate the body.
It was then sent to Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital for further action.
