Anwar Announces RM300 In Special Appreciation Aid For Civil Servants
The Special Appreciate Aid will also extend to various types of government pensioners.
In a move to support civil servants and government pensioners, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim this morning, 27 July, announced RM300 special cash aid for civil servants ranked grade 56 and below
This initiative under Bantuan Khas Perhargaan (Special Appreciation Aid) aims to ease financial burdens and acknowledge the dedication of hardworking civil servants who tirelessly serve the nation.
But that's not all; this Special Appreciate Aid will also extend to various types of government pensioners. Under the newly introduced scheme, RM200 in aid will be allocated to pensioners, ensuring that their contributions to the nation are recognised and valued, the Prime Minister stated in his announcement.
With this welfare measure in place, over 1.3 million civil servants, including those on contractual appointments, will receive the special aid, along with more than one million pensioners
In his speech at the launch of the 'Madani Economy: Empowering the People' framework on the country's economic direction, Anwar emphasised the government's commitment to restructuring the salaries of civil servants in line with the country's financial capabilities. This move aims to create a sustainable and equitable financial framework for the nation's workforce.
Acknowledging the urgency of the matter, he said that he has instructed the Chief Secretary to the Government to expedite the disbursement of the special aid within two weeks' time.
