Baby Drowns In River In Kedah After Dad Loses Grip Of Him
The baby's father was believed to be giving him a bath when tragedy struck.
A baby was found drowned after his father lost grip of him in Sungai Ketil in Baling, Kedah last Saturday, 8 July
According to Harian Metro, the baby was one year and seven months old.
In the 11.50am incident, the 30-year-old father was believed to be giving the baby a bath on a float.
The baby he was carrying then slipped out of his arms and fell into the river.
Baling district police chief SUPT Shamsudin Mamat said the baby was carried away by the current, ending up in Kampung Sungai Limau.
"The mother of the victim, along with other family members and friends, were at the scene at the time of the incident," he said.

Separately, a 45-second widely circulated video shows the father screaming for help while in the river.
It is believed that the father was asking for help from members of the public after his son went missing in the river.

The baby's body was later found at 12.45pm with the assistance of the public and villagers in Kampung Sungai Limau
New Straits Times quoted Shamsudin as saying that the body was sent to a hospital for further action.
