Bella's Boyfriend Charged With Murder After Her Remains Were Found In An Abandoned House
The 24-year-old man is a former postman.
A man was charged at Batu Pahat Magistrate's Court today, 24 January, with the murder of a woman, whose remains were found in an abandoned house more than a month after her disappearance
The accused, Mohammad Haikal Mahfuz, 24, nodded in understanding as the charges were read by the interpreter before Magistrate Nur Asidah A Rahman, but no plea was recorded, reported Harian Metro.
According to the charges, the former postman is accused of murdering a 32-year-old single mother, Mila Sharmila Samsusah, affectionately known as Bella, from 11pm to 5am, between 14 and 15 December.
The accused has been charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
The court has set 19 February for a mention of the case.

They were seen arriving at the court as early as 8am. Present were Bella's mother, Noraini Salleh, 55, and her brother, Norhisham, 36, reported the New Straits Times.
Earlier, police confirmed that the remains found in an abandoned rental house in Kampung Batu 7, Tongkang Pechah, belonged to Bella after the results of a DNA test on the remains indicated a match.
