[VIDEO] Chinese Tourist Flies Drone In KL But It Loses Signal And Crashes Into Merdeka 118
The tourist claimed that he flew the drone to show the world how tall Merdeka 118 is.
Over the last few weeks, Malaysia's newest skyscraper, Merdeka 118, has been making headline after headline due to foreigners' insatiable curiosity about its stature
On 28 December, Angela Nikolau, a Russian 'extreme' influencer, stunned Malaysia when she uploaded videos and photos of herself at the top of Menara 118.
The Russian tourist even disclosed how she got to the top of the skyscraper on Twitter, saying that she had to wear a hijab, glasses, and a builder's uniform to blend in with the construction workers at the site.
Just one week after Angela shared her story, another video surfaced on a subreddit on Tuesday, 10 January, showing a Chinese tourist flying a drone in Kuala Lumpur before it collided into Merdeka 118.

The tourist first posted the video to Bilibili, China's YouTube equivalent, claiming that he did so to show the world how tall Merdeka 118 is
In the one-minute clip, the drone is seen flying directly towards the building, while its pilot says, "Game over."
Once the drone is close to Menara 118, the tourist panics and realises that he has lost connection to the drone.
Due to the lost connection, the tourist is unable to elevate his drone above the skyscraper, causing it to collide into the building.
"Oh, I'm a real pig. It's over, it's over. I can't connect to my drone," the pilot yells while his drone is falling to the ground.

Malaysians were not amused by the tourist's actions and left their thoughts in the comments section
One user commented that Merdeka 118 has been attracting a lot of strange people.

Another user was angry that the pilot was not flying the drone at a safe height while knowing that there were people underneath.
"This is the kind of sh-t that makes us other responsible pilots look bad," said the user.

Meanwhile, another pointed out that the tourist was flying his drone above the allowed height of 400ft, and he was actually breaching the law set by the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM).
