"Other charges (against him) are still under consideration," local police said, according to The Guardian

"As the case is before the court, the police are not in a position to comment further," the police added.

A High Court judge also ruled that members of the media will not be allowed to film or take photos of the terrorist when he appears in court tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the New Zealand government aims to pass gun reform law by next Thursday, 11 April

Local Police Association president Chris Cahill responded to claims that the parliament was rushing the law amendment, reported The Guardian.

"Is it time to act? Are we being too quick? No, we've been far too slow," Cahill was quoted as saying by The Guardian.

Meanwhile, Christchurch mayor Lianne Dalziel also argued that the law change was long overdue.

"The law change must happen without delay," she said.
