Earlier today, 3 March, eCurve took to its social media pages to clarify that the shopping mall is not closing but undergoing redevelopment
In a statement, the mall management said that the redevelopment project is to rejuvenate eCurve.
"After 14 eventful years, the success story continues with the planned redevelopment of eCurve. The onset of the pandemic has presented an opportunity to put into motion the plan for eCurve to evolve, rejuvenate, and return stronger with a brand-new captivating landmark in Mutiara Damansara, aligned with the Group wide's (sic) aspiration of 'Reinventing Boustead'," read the statement.
The management said the timely project will see eCurve adapting to the changing societies, lifestyles, and technologies around us
"Through the urban rejuvenation, we envision enhanced generational livability surrounding Mutiara Damansara, with thriving communities and ecosystem stemming from the unleashed offerings under the redevelopment," it said, while emphasising that the redevelopment plan does not involve The Curve.
The Curve is a separate mall adjacent to eCurve. Both the malls are at the same location.
According to the statement, The Curve will continue to operate as usual, while the management added that it has engaged current tenants at eCurve and relocated selected tenants to The Curve.
The current outlets at eCurve will remain open until the end of March.
The clarification comes days after it was reported that the shopping mall in Mutiara Damansara is closing for good by the end of March:
