Family Of 7 Suffers Burns After Gas Stove Explodes At A Steamboat Restaurant
The family heard a loud explosion before the gas stove burst into flames.
A family dinner turned tragic when a portable gas stove exploded at a steamboat restaurant in Temerloh on Saturday, 9 March
According to Sinar Harian, Noraini Abdullah, 53, was dining with her husband, Ayob Harun, 59, and their four children, Fatin Nabilah, 29, Arif Fauzan, 26, Arif Fahmi, 23, Arif Fahin, 21, and their son-in-law, Azrul Fazrin Asri, 28, when the incident occurred at 7pm.
Noraini said she and her family heard a loud explosion before the gas stove at their table burst into flames, catching everyone off guard.
"The incident happened very quickly, we didn't have time to avoid it, and everyone was hit by the flames from the gas stove.
"We then went to a nearby clinic to seek treatment before returning home to Bera," she said.

The next day, they visited the Triang Health Clinic for further treatment and were later referred to a specialist at Hospital Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah
"My husband and our second son, Arif Fauzan, suffered the most severe burns, affecting their faces and hands.
"We spent four days in the hospital ward, and we are currently undergoing follow-up checks at a private hospital," said Noraini.
According to the mother, the family had visited the restaurant before and did not expect such an incident to happen.
The restaurant owner has since apologised for the incident, and the family filed a police report at the Temerloh district police headquarters in an effort to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
