Bukit Jalil National Stadium vaccination centre (PPV) will no longer allow the walk-in facility for non-Malaysians in the Klang Valley

In an announcement today, 22 August, the COVID-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) said the facility is now being replaced with the appointment method from tomorrow, 23 August.

This meant that the PPV will no longer accept walk-ins by foreign nationals, the CITF added.

"Foreigners who have not yet registered for the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) must do so either through MySejahtera, the PICK hotline at 1800-888-828 or the website, so an appointment can be given."

New Straits Times reported the CITF saying that this move was being taken to ensure the vaccination process can be conducted in a safer and more comfortable environment.

Additionally, foreigners who go to a PPV by appointment must prove they are a resident of the Klang Valley by bringing relevant documents such as work cards, utility bills, etc.

Meanwhile, the CITF said that walk-in vaccination for Malaysians in the Klang Valley will now only be continued at 13 specific PPVs

This is because the number of Malaysians walking in for COVID-19 vaccination has been on the decline.

It listed down the 13 PPVs that will allow walk-ins.

Starting 23 August, a total of nine walk-in PPVs will open. They are:
- KL Convention Centre (KLCC) (HCO F, G and H)
- Axiata Arena Bukit Jalil (A, B)
- Ideal Convention Centre (IDCC)
- Shah Alam (HCO B)
- Bangi Avenue Convention Centre (BACC)
- Hotel Wyndham Acmar Klang
- Petaling Jaya City Council Civic Centre
- Kuala Selangor Closed Stadium
- Dewan Seri Bernam, Sabak Bernam, and
- Kuala Langat Municipal Council Sports Complex Hall

And from 25 August, two more PPVs will open for walk-in. They are:
- Le Pavilion Gamuda Garden, Gombak
- Bukit Beruntung Golf Resort

From 26 August, two additional PPVs will be added to the list. They are:
- Galaxy Mall Ampang
- Universiti Multimedia, Cyberjaya

According to the CITF, Malaysians who missed their second dose appointments can visit any of the 13 listed PPVs close to their residence, and that people may be referred to other PPVs if a particular PPV did not offer the same vaccine they had for their first dose.

"Walk-ins are also based on the first-come, first-serve basis depending on the supply capacity at the respective PPVs. Anyone who comes for walk-in vaccination on a day where supply has run out will be placed on a list and asked to return the next day," the CITF added.

Recently, several people took to social media claiming to have witnessed People's Volunteer Corps (RELA) personnel attacking migrants at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium PPV:

Meanwhile, a volunteer at the same PPV went to extra lengths to perform her duties by picking up foreign languages so she can cater to the different people who show up for their COVID-19 jabs:
