#GE15: Here's How Much Each PKR Candidate Owns Since They Declared Their Assets
"We want to be as transparent as possible to show to the public that we can be trusted," said PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli.
In an unprecedented move, the parliamentary candidates from Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) have publicly declared their assets ahead of the 15th General Election (GE15)
According to Malaysiakini, this is the first time a party has decided to publicly publish their asset declarations since Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) candidates did so in the 1999 general election.

PKR deputy president and Pandan candidate Rafizi Ramli, the first party member to declare his assets, said all candidates in the party are required to follow suit to instil public confidence
"We want to be as transparent as possible to show to the public that we can be trusted," Rafizi said, as quoted by The Star.
"It's about setting a higher standard for candidates – if they wish to serve in public office, they must be open to public scrutiny about their finances."
He added that he could not force candidates from other parties to follow the move, but said the public deserved to know their financial situations and connections too.
Rafizi declared he owned RM18.9 million in net assets as of 31 October.
