"If Zahid Goes, All UMNO Leaders Go" – Bung Moktar Weighs In On Calls For Zahid To Resign
Bung Moktar stresses that every UMNO leader needs to be responsible for the disappointing loss that UMNO faced this GE15.
UMNO president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has been urged by several people, including his own members, to resign from the party's leadership position
Selangor UMNO chief Tan Sri Noh Omar was one of the UMNO members who admitted losing hope in the president's leadership and urged Zahid to step down. Noh himself, has pulled the plug on his position in UMNO and handed in his resignation on Sunday, 20 November, after attending a meeting at UMNO headquarters.
Adding to the list of people fielding for Zahid's resignation was the Johor Menteri Besar (MB) Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi. The MB claimed that if Zahid remains in UMNO, the party will continue to fail at winning any seats in the future.
"Therefore, with the utmost respect, I ask that Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid resign as UMNO president as soon as possible, just as Datuk Seri Najib Razak resigned as president in 2018," Onn Hafiz was quoted as saying to New Straits Times reporters.

Sabah UMNO chief Bung Moktar Radin has now also weighed in on Zahid's call to resign and said that UMNO's loss was the result of a group "political decision"
According to Malay Mail, just minutes after attending the same meeting where Noh handed in his resignation, Bung claimed that UMNO's loss was the responsibility of every UMNO leader. Therefore, he said that every leader should be held to the same standard they expect from Zahid.
"If [Zahid] resigns, then we all have to resign, including me," Bung said to reporters as he was leaving the meeting.
The Kinabatangan seat winner also said that the situation has not reached a level where Zahid's resignation is necessary for the betterment of UMNO.
