The police have detained a 17-year-old girl and a 22-year-old man in Johor Bahru, Johor after a video of them in a compromising position went viral yesterday, 6 April

According to New Straits Times, the 23-second video shows the minor, who is wearing a Malaysian Red Crescent (PBSM) uniform, sitting on top of the man in the latter's Perodua Axia, which is parked in Taman Kota Masai, Pasir Gudang.

The two can be seen wearing their T-shirts while facing each other. When the person filming the video asks them what they are doing, the man replies, "Dia sakit (she's in pain)".

Seri Alam district police chief Supt Mohd Sohaimi Ishak said the incident took place at about 3pm on 29 March.

The viral video spawned memes, posts, and a slew of comments from netizens

China Press dubbed the duo "the sakit man and girl", referencing what the man said when he was caught in the incident.

One article reported how another girl was wrongly accused to be the suspect in the case because she has photos of her in PBSM uniform uploaded on her social media.

Meanwhile, ViralCham also reported in reference to the issue that the legal age of consent in the country is 16 years old, dispelling the confusion among netizens that it was a case of statutory rape.
