A Malaysian working in Singapore became an overnight millionaire after winning a RM31.9 million Sports Toto jackpot on 14 September

According to Sin Chew Daily, the 44-year-old lucky punter from Johor works as a supervisor for a trading company in the city state, and commutes there every day.

When he visited the Sports Toto headquarters to collect his winnings a few days ago, he said that one's chances of winning are higher when he or she expects nothing.

"I always bet on Toto 4D Jackpot and Supreme Toto 6/58 games just for the sake of playing, and I had never expected that I could become a jackpot winner one day," he said, as quoted by New Straits Times.

"My wife and I are thrilled that our dream has come true. Although it is true that I can retire early now, I will not allow myself to take it easy, I will continue to work in Singapore," he added.
