You Can Now Apply For JPA's 2025 Yang di-Pertuan Agong Scholarship

Applications for the 2025 Yang di-Pertuan Agong Scholarship (BYDPA) are now open, announced the Public Service Department (JPA)

In a statement, JPA said that the prestigious scholarship is available to full-time Master's (Research) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) students at both local and international universities.

"The BYDPA is the most prestigious scholarship programme under JPA, aimed at sponsoring outstanding Malaysian citizens in both academic and non-academic fields [...] specialising in strategic disciplines that play a pivotal role in national development," read the statement.

The fields eligible for the scholarship are:


- Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)
- Economy
- Law
- Islamic Finance, and
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Online applications are open from 3 to 28 February

According to JPA, applicants may complete the online application form through the BMI Penajaan portal from 3 to 28 February. The completed application form must be printed, signed, and submitted along with the required supporting documents to JPA by 7 March, either by hand or via post to the following address:

(Attn: In-Service Offer Management Unit)
