[VIDEO] JPJ Officer Injured After Motorcyclist Rams Into Him At Port Dickson Roadblock
The Road Transport Department (JPJ) said the suspect has two blacklist entries against him.
A Road Transport Department (JPJ) officer suffered injuries to his head and limbs after a motorcyclist rammed into him at a roadblock in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan yesterday, 17 September
In a statement, JPJ said the 25-year-old suspect was riding a Yamaha Y125ZR, which was seized after the incident, reported Bernama.
He was detained under the Road Transport Act (RTA) 1987 for riding with an expired licence since 2012, as well as not having insurance and a valid driver's licence.
"He was handed over to the Port Dickson police headquarters' Traffic Enforcement Investigation Department (JSPT) for obstructing a civil servant from conducting their duty under Section 42(1) of the RTA 1987 and Section 186 of the Penal Code," the statement read.

A five-second video of the incident went viral on Twitter, showing the suspect crashing into the JPJ officer at KM28 of the Seremban-Port Dickson Highway at 11am
The officer was seen being launched a few feet off the ground before landing on his back.
The suspect fell to the ground with his legs still hooked to the handle of the motorcycle.
According to Harian Metro, the JPJ officer suffered injuries to his neck, head, hands, and feet.
He was discharged after receiving treatment at Port Dickson Hospital.
