Man In Kedah Collapses & Dies In Front Of His Home After Coming Back From Cycling

His family members immediately tried to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on him.

A man died in front of his home at Taman Mutiara, Sungai Kob in Kedah on Monday, 27 September

According to Harian Metro, the incident occurred at 7.10am, just as the 52-year-old victim returned from cycling around his neighbourhood.

It is understood that upon returning home, he did some light exercises before he suddenly collapsed on the floor.

However, by the time the ambulance arrived, it was too late.

Kulim district police chief Supt Sazalee Adam said hospital staff found that the victim had already died when they arrived.

The police chief said no criminal element was found in early investigations and the case has been classified as sudden death

"Investigations found the victim has a history of diabetes and high blood pressure, and he has received two doses of the vaccine before this," Sazalee said.

"Besides that, further examination found that the victim had previously been infected with COVID-19 on 28 August and recovered after undergoing quarantine for 14 days."

He added that the body was sent to a hospital for an autopsy to determine the victim's cause of death.
