Selangor Records Less Than 1,000 COVID-19 Cases For First Time Since May
The country reported 10,959 new COVID-19 cases today, 27 September.
Selangor recorded less than four figures of new COVID-19 cases for the first time since early May today, 27 September
According to Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, Malaysia reported 10,959 new COVID-19 cases today.
Selangor recorded 979 cases, while Kuala Lumpur recorded 176 cases.
Here is the breakdown of new COVID-19 cases by different states and federal territories in descending order:
- Sarawak: 2,723
- Johor: 1,226
- Kelantan: 983
- Selangor: 979
- Penang: 793
- Sabah: 751
- Pahang: 739
- Perak: 713
- Terengganu: 691
- Kedah: 660
- Melaka: 346
- Kuala Lumpur: 176
- Negeri Sembilan: 110
- Perlis: 51
- Putrajaya: 18
- Labuan: 0
Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said the new COVID-19 cases in Selangor today is the lowest since 4 May, which reported 675 cases
"Although the number of cases recorded a decline, we must not be careless and negligent," said the Menteri Besar in a tweet.
"Continue to adhere to SOPs (standard operating procedures), wear face masks in public areas, maintain physical distance and personal hygiene."
As of today, Malaysia has a total of 2,209,194 cumulative cases
Up until Sunday, 26 September, 83.7% of the adult population have been fully vaccinated, while 93.7% have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
