His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim recently made headlines by purchasing the 'GOLD 1' licence plate number for a staggering RM1.5 million

He announced this acquisition through a Facebook post, revealing that he secured the exclusive number by placing the highest bid in Malaysian history for a licence plate.

During an audience at Istana Negara, Transport Minister Anthony Loke presented the coveted plate to the King, marking a significant and prestigious addition to His Majesty's collection.

This acquisition surpasses his previous record of RM1.2 million, which he spent last year on the 'FF1' licence plate.
