Malaysia Airlines Now Charges For Check-In Baggage On Cheapest Domestic Flights
Passengers will still get hand-carry baggage allowance of up to 7kg.

According to a statement on their website, the lowest Economy Lite fare will not come with check-in baggage for domestic flights.
However, the airline assured that passengers will still get hand-carry baggage allowance of up to 7kg with Economy Lite

The lowest fare does not allow for child discount or the option to request for a seat upgrade using Enrich Miles.
Passengers who want to check in their luggage would need to select Economy Basic which comes with 20kg of allowance, or Economy Flexi with 25kg

Meanwhile, the cheapest Economy Promo fare for international flights still comes with free baggage allowance of 20kg

The revision will affect bookings made from 8 April onwards

According to the FAQ, those who booked their tickets earlier will retain the original free baggage allowance.
