In a generous show of appreciation, a Malaysian entrepreneur has gifted vehicles worth RM3.1 million to his employees in recognition of their contributions to the success of his restaurant and karaoke businesses

In an interview with China Press, Warakuya Japanese Restaurant and Superstar Family KTV founder John Wong said he rewards his employees annually for their dedication and hard work.

This year, 31 employees received vehicles from prestigious brands such as BMW, Audi, Toyota, Honda, and Proton.

During a ceremony yesterday, 11 November, four long-serving employees were each presented with a BMW 6 Series, collectively worth RM1.8 million.

"These four BMW cars are being presented to four long-serving employees who helped build the company with me, as a token of appreciation for their contributions," Huang said.

Among the recipients were a C-level executive and branch managers.

Foreign employees from Nepal and Myanmar also received vehicles, with all costs covered, including driving licenses

Speaking to China Press, a 34-year-old employee said this was the second time he had received a BMW from the company, with the first being seven years ago. He and his family travelled from Kuala Lumpur to Johor Bahru to participate in the ceremony yesterday.

He mentioned that the car, though a gift, also serves as a form of affirmation and encouragement from both the company and its founder.

Warakuya Japanese Restaurant and Superstar Family KTV operate eight and six outlets respectively in the Klang Valley and Johor.

They have been frequently featured on popular food content sites such as Gourmet Hunter and Foodie KL.
