The Payung Rahmah initiative, which aims to relieve the burden placed on low-income households due to the increase in cost of living, is now expanding to cover eyewear under the Rahmah Glasses Package

Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub said in a Facebook post that the initiative was made possible through collaboration with trusted eye care provider, Metro Optical Group (MOG) Eyewear.

Through this initiative, Malaysians have the opportunity to purchase a pair of glasses at an affordable price range, at either RM50 or RM100.

"Those who wish to upgrade their lenses to 'blue cut lenses' with ultraviolet protection, can do it for an additional RM100 charge," he added.
