Man In Sabah Dies While Travelling On Foot From Home To PPV

He was resting under a tree before suddenly collapsing.

A man in Sabah was found dead outside the Keningau Sports Complex vaccination centre (PPV)

According to Sinar Harian, the man was found dead while resting under a tree on Sunday, 22 August.

Keningau district police chief DSP Shahrudin Mat Husain said that the authorities were informed of the incident by a staff member at the PPV.

The man is said to have been 57 years old and he travelled by foot from his home to the PPV

Astro Awani reported that he walked from his home in Kampung Pampang, approximately 2.1km from the PPV.

Investigations found that the man showed up at the PPV to attend a vaccination appointment he received through the MySejahtera application.

While resting, the man suddenly collapsed and a team of health officials from the Keningau Hospital rushed to the location to give emergency assistance.

Previously, photos of the scene went viral on social media with netizens speculating that the man died while waiting in line at the PPV.

The case has been classified as sudden death

Shahrudin told Sinar Harian that no criminal elements were found and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The body was then taken to the Keningau Hospital for further investigation.
