A Perodua Myvi knocked over a speeding ambulance that was responding to an emergency call in Melaka yesterday, 1 February
According to Harian Metro, the accident took place at a traffic light junction in Taman Bertam Impian at 7.30pm.
Prior to the accident, the ambulance was rushing from the direction of Cheng and heading towards Sungai Udang. It ran a red light at the junction.
At the same time, the Perodua Myvi driver — who was coming from a different direction — lost control over their vehicle and collided with the ambulance, causing it to flip over.

Both of them did not sustain any injuries.
According to the preliminary investigation, Central Melaka district police chief ACP Afzanizar Ahmad revealed the accident happened amidst an emergency response and that the ambulance had its siren turned on.
"However, as soon as they arrived at the traffic light junction, the car driven by a private nurse coming from the direction of Taman Bertam Impian hit the right rear of the ambulance," Afzanizar said.
At the time of writing, photos of the accident have gone viral on Facebook with over 4,000 likes.
One photo shows a group of passers-by trying to flip the ambulance back on its four wheels.
