The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has issued a detailed advisory for those attending Coldplay's concert at Bukit Jalil National Stadium tonight, 22 November

In a statement last night, Cheras police chief ACP Zam Halim Jamaluddin said a total of 75,000 spectators are expected to fill up the stadium, which will be opening its doors at 6pm.

He said the police have made thorough preparations, including deploying traffic management units, to facilitate a smooth traffic flow around the concert venue.

The British rock band will begin performing at 8pm, and the police will be conducting body and bag checks at each entrance to ensure the safety of concertgoers.

Below is a list of items that are not allowed to be brought into the stadium:
– Firecrackers / flares
– Helmets
– Lasers / laser pens
– Any sharp objects (iron or wood)
– Weapons (machetes and other dangerous weapons)
– Alcoholic drinks
– Umbrellas / walking sticks
– Powerbanks
– Bottled water
– Lighters / matches
– Cigarettes / electronic cigarettes (vapes)
– Drones
– Megaphones

To prevent traffic congestion, the police are urging individuals to observe the seven-point advisory outlined below:

– Concertgoers are encouraged to use public transport to get to Bukit Jalil National Stadium
– Avoid using roads around the stadium if you are not going to the concert
– Obey instructions given by the police on duty
– Road users are advised to be patient, cautious, and tolerant while driving around the stadium
– Road users are not allowed to park on the shoulders of the road around the entrance and exit of the stadium
– Vehicles that obstruct traffic will be towed and summonsed
– Members of the public should be aware that only the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT KL) has the authority of regulating the movement of traffic around the stadium

Zam Halim said the public is reminded to maintain decorum, refrain from provocation, and avoid causing disturbances during or after the concert. The police will take strict action against any violations of the law.

"For any inquiries, please contact the Cheras police hotline at +603-9284 5050/5051, the Kuala Lumpur police hotline at +603-2115 9999, or any nearby police station," he said.
