Penang Dad Who Burned His 8-Year-Old Daughter With Hot Water Has Been Arrested
The man and his wife had been on the run following the incident.
A father in Penang, who burned his eight-year-old daughter with hot water after she finished all the food during dinner, has been arrested
The victim suffered scald burns on her arms, ribs, and chest as a result of the incident.
On Thursday, 27 December, the father - who works as a prepaid card sales agent - returned home from work at 1am to find that his children had finished the dinner prepared by his wife.

In anger, he woke up his three older children and proceeded to scold them and beat them up. Then he took hot water from the water filter machine and poured it on the victim - who is the couple's only daughter.
A neighbour, who heard the commotion, immediately brought the girl to the Air Itam police station, before heading to Penang Hospital for treatment.
Her parents had been on the run with their youngest child following the incident.
On Sunday, 6 January, police arrested the 42-year-old man near a durian stall at Jalan Paya Terubong following a tip-off from a member of the public
"The man who disappeared with his wife and youngest son after the incident was believed to have returned to Penang today," said Northeast District Police Chief ACP Che Zaimani Che Awan, reported The Star.
"Based on tip-offs and information, the police managed to track them down this morning (6 January)."
Both the man and his 34-year-old wife will be investigated under the Child Act 2001
They will be investigated under Section 31(1)(a) of the Act for "abuse, neglect, abandonment, or exposing the child in a manner likely to cause him physical or emotional injury".

If convicted, the perpetrators face a maximum 10 years of jail and RM20,000 fine, reported Free Malaysia Today.
