A photo of a Mercedes-Benz parked by the corner of a street in Kepong has gone viral after it was posted in a public Facebook group

The swanky-looking Mercedes-Benz appears to have been parked at a junction of a residential area of the suburb. In the photo posted on 9 October, the vehicle is blocking the view for those turning left.

The car is splashed on its right side with yellow paint, matching the yellow markings on the street located at 5 Jalan Vista Mutiara 1, a check by SAYS showed.

The paint was also sprayed onto the street near the car and the wall behind it.

The incident has sparked mixed reactions online, with some users expressing satisfaction, while others lamented the vandalism

"Violence can't solve problems, but it sure solves the problem of badly parked cars. It's somewhat satisfying to see the owner assume that since it's a luxury car, no one would dare touch it, so they park it illegally," said one.

"We need more such people who work behind the scenes. On the positive side, their actions often address issues that are overlooked, like solving problems caused by inconsiderate behaviour, such as bad parking. This can bring a sense of justice or satisfaction to those frustrated by the lack of consequences.

"However, on the flip side, taking matters into one's own hands, especially through acts of vandalism or violence, can create more problems, such as legal consequences or escalating conflict," wrote another.

"You have done things that many people dare not do," commented one user.
