These Roads Will Be Closed For The KLSC Marathon & Le Tour De Langkawi From 3 To 6 October

Over 30 roads will be closed in stages over the weekend.

Over 30 roads will be closed in stages for the 2024 Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon (KLSCM) that will take place on Saturday, 5 October, and Sunday, 6 October

13 roads in the city centre will be closed from 5am to 10am on the first day of the event, while a total of 29 roads will be closed in stages from 3am to 11am on the second day.

As the marathon will begin and end at Dataran Merdeka, the road that runs in front of it, Jalan Raja, will be closed for an extended period, from 8pm on Friday, 4 October, to 12pm on Monday, 7 October.

According to Bernama, Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa said over 360 police officers will be aiding in the road closures.

Besides that, 12 roads in the city will also be temporarily closed for the fifth stage of the 2024 Le Tour de Langkawi cycling race on Thursday, 3 October

Rusdi said 174 police personnel will be stationed to carry out the road closures that will begin from 10am and be reopened to the public in stages.

The Le Tour de Langkawi flag-off begins at 11am at the PETRONAS Twin Towers, with the race route covering Jalan Ampang, Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, Jalan Tun Razak, and Jalan Ampang again (heading towards MRR2), he said.
