The Court of Appeal has granted Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor the temporary release of her passport to visit her pregnant daughter in Singapore

The court's three-judge panel, led by Datuk Hadhariah Syed Ismail, allowed former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's wife to temporarily obtain her international passport today, 17 August, reported New Straits Times.

Her daughter, Nooryana Najwa Najib, is expected to give birth to her third child at the end of this month.

Rosmah is currently appealing her 10-year jail sentence for accepting bribes in relation to a hybrid energy project in 369 schools in Sarawak. The trial of the case started in February 2020, and she was sentenced to jail in September 2022.

Deputy public prosecutor Poh Yih Tinn confirmed that the prosecution did not object to the request.

This is Rosmah's fourth time requesting the temporary release of her passport. She submitted her first application on 15 October 2021 to visit Nooryana after she delivered her second child.

On 21 March this year, Rosmah submitted another request to visit her daughter and grandchild. Then, on 15 June, she visited Nooryana again.

Nooryana is married to Kazakhstan national Daniyar Kessikbaye, and the couple reside in Singapore.

In September last year, the Kuala Lumpur High Court found Rosmah guilty of all three counts of corruption in her RM1.25 billion solar hybrid graft trial:
