SG Recalls Batch Of Imported Prego Carbonara Pasta Sauce From Malaysia Due To Spoilage
According to the Singapore Food Agency (SFA), the spoiled batch of food had an unpleasant odour, a strange colour, a watery appearance, and separated layers of liquid.
Due to product spoilage, Singapore has recalled a batch of imported Prego Carbonara Mushroom Pasta Sauce from Malaysia
The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) issued a statement yesterday, December 23, stating that The Arnott's Group detected the spoilage that was due to a manufacturing error.
The SFA went on to warn the public to avoid consuming the product at all costs, as it has been labelled unsuitable for consumption and should not be sold.
"Those who have consumed the products and are unwell should seek medical attention. Consumers may contact their point of purchase for enquiries," it said.
The statement also noted that signs of spoilage include an unpleasant odour, an unusual colour, a watery appearance, and separated layers of liquid.
Campbell Soup Southeast Asia Sdn Bhd, the product's importer, has also been directed to recall the product from Singaporean supermarkets and stores.
