There Is No Public Holiday On 31 January Despite WhatsApp Rumours
A fake message has been circulating on social media claiming that it is a holiday linked to the Agong's Inauguration.
A fake message claiming that 31 January will be a public holiday for Malaysia has been circulating social media and WhatsApp
However, there has yet to be any official announcement of it being a public holiday for the country
According to The Star, Chief Secretary to the Government Datuk Seri Dr Ismail Bakar is the only person who can officially announce the holiday.
A special meeting will be held on 24 January among the Malay rulers to decide who will be the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
