Toll Exemption For Deepavali Is Still Being Discussed

Discussions to waive toll fares in conjunction with the upcoming Deepavali celebration this weekend are still underway

Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan informed parliament that one of the matters being discussed is the aspect of cost-sharing with highway concessionaires, Bernama reported.

"Insya-Allah, there will be good news, in two or three days, the government will announce it," he told the Dewan Rakyat yesterday, 6 November.

Deepavali falls on Sunday, 12 November.
