Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) is providing additional electric train service (ETS) trips from KL Sentral to Padang Besar in November in conjunction with Deepavali

In a statement yesterday, 16 October, KTMB said there will be an additional 630 tickets available daily from Thursday, 9 November, to Monday, 13 November, over the long weekend.

This means there's a total of 3,150 tickets being offered, including business class coach seats.

"The additional ETS trips are to cater to the high demand for train tickets during festive seasons," the company said, reported New Straits Times.

"The country's major highways are also expected to see a high volume of traffic compared to normal days," it added.

The train will depart from Padang Besar at 11am and is scheduled to arrive at KL Sentral at 4.36pm

Meanwhile, the other train will depart KL Sentral at 5.05pm and is scheduled to arrive at Padang Besar at 10.34pm.

The tickets go on sale at 10am today, 17 October.

You can purchase tickets through the KTM mobile application (KITS) or on the KTMB website for easier and faster cashless purchases here.
