The incident happened yesterday, 10 October, at 315.2km of the PLUS Expressway heading towards the Tapah, Perak, said Facebook user Kenny Tan, who also posted the video.

The less than two-minute long video has amassed over 3,000 shares at the time of writing.

According to Tan, he saw the Hilux charging towards him about one kilometre away while he was driving on the fast lane

He said the pickup truck constantly flashed its high beam on him.

"Feeling something was amiss, I switched to the slow lane and let it go past me," Tan wrote in his post.

Soon after that, the Hilux hit the car in front of him.

"Who knew, the Hilux really didn't mean to brake at all. It rammed into a Perodua Alza in front, causing it to lose control and collide with a Perodua Viva on the left."

The Hilux had its right signal flashing too.

The accident caused severe injuries to the Alza driver to his head and half of his body

Tan said that the middle-aged Alza driver was covered in blood.

The driver and a passenger in the Viva sustained some injuries too.

"The Hilux driver, donned in red, was uninjured at all!" Tan exclaimed.

"He even took his time to slowly alight his car and didn't call the ambulance."

Tan immediately made a stress call and the police arrived five minutes after

Tan was grateful that a Toyota Vios driver stopped and came out to help.

"I continued my journey back to Kuala Lumpur once the police arrived.

"I hope the Alza uncle (driver) is safe. The Hilux driver must be put in jail!" Tan concluded in the post.

Many netizens have flooded the comment section to criticise the Hilux driver

"What is the problem with the Hilux driver?" one netizen asked.

Another added, "Road is not yours (Hilux driver), it's ours. Give and take."

"It doesn't matter if you high beam the car in front or not. Whoever collides into the back of a car is at fault. Moreover, the speed limit on the highway is 110km per hour," a netizen commented.
