Parents are expressing concern after it was found that a violin teacher who is based in Kuala Lumpur has allegedly been ranting about his students on social media

A Facebook user posted about the private tutor on a community Facebook group for parents to warn others about him.

"If you have no patience, please don't become a teacher!" the user wrote.

"Parents, please beware of this so-called 'professional' violin teacher who'll upload your child's picture and publicly call them 's-hai' (which means 'stupid p-ssy' in Cantonese)," the user said while attaching purported screenshots of the violin teacher's Instagram account.

"I've hidden the kid's face here. No kid deserves to be shamed like that! This is extremely rude, unprofessional, and unacceptable from an educator!" the user added.

According to the post, the teacher allegedly has an Instagram Story Highlight called "Stupid Excuses" for his closed circle, where he rants about his students for not practising at home

The most recent Instagram Story among the screenshots is dated 7 January, while the remainder are from October and November 2022.

In one of the Stories showing a photo of a child playing the violin, the teacher had written: "This student is the most 's-hai' student I've ever met. There are no more 's-hai' students than this one."

He then proceeded to rant about the student's behaviour, who he claimed never practised and came to class not knowing anything every week.

"There was once he didn't come to class for two weeks, and when I asked him if he did practise, he said yes, then proceeded to play like sh-t," the teacher ranted.

"Then I asked again how many hours did he practise, and he answered 'one hour'. He had two f-cking weeks off, that is 336 hours, and he only practised one hour. What the f-ck," he added.

Another Instagram Story showed the teacher making an annoyed expression while sharing, "About the student last week who I wanted to scold 'f-ck you': He said his brother stole his bow, so he couldn't practise. What the f-ck."

He then cussed again at the student for spending more than a month learning "a freaking easy" chord.

"I want to vomit blood, did you practise?" he posted in another Story.

The Facebook post has since garnered over 490 comments and 1,800 shares from concerned parents

Although the screenshots show the teacher had shared his rantings with 'Close Friends' only, and he has since made his account private, many were still unhappy about the nature of the posts.

While the Instagram Stories were private, many parents were also of the opinion that it was still unethical and unprofessional of a teacher to degrade his young students with their faces unobscured on his social media account.
