A woman recently took to Twitter after her roommate was sexually harassed by a durian seller over text
On 11 July, the woman, who requested to remain anonymous, uploaded screenshots of her roommate's WhatsApp conversation with the seller along with a caption that read, "If you're looking for halal income, don't do this. Better not do business if you treat customers like this. This is durian season, not mating season."
The tweet has since garnered over 7,300 retweets and 6,900 likes.

In the photos, the man can be seen asking to sleep with the victim.
When the woman asked where she could pick up the fruit, the man said no need but continued to pressure for sex services.
The victim's roommate told SAYS that they had found the seller's durian listing on Facebook Marketplace. She and her roommate are from Sarawak but are currently living in Johor Bahru.
The conversation started out like any typical deal between an online seller and a customer. The victim asked about prices and delivery charges.

The seller then responded by saying that he can deliver durian to the customer late at night. Then, he suddenly asked, "Can I sleep with you?"
The woman then replied, "No."
She proceeded to ask if she could opt for self pick-up, but the seller responded, "No need, I really want a service. Can I?"
"What service?" the woman asked.
"Your sex service," the seller said.

The victim's roommate told SAYS that they decided not to lodge an official police report
However, the victim's sibling is a police officer and he has contacted the seller.
The victim's roommate explained that during a phone call between the seller and the victim's brother, he apologised and said that he assumed the woman was working in a spa that offered sexual services.
"It ended there. The victim didn't want to drag this issue further. But she knows I made the issue go viral. I can't just not do anything, knowing my friend got harassed. I respect her if she doesn't want to file a report," she added.
