A local woman is looking for her pet parrot that was lost recently

The woman, Reina Lum, took to her Instagram on 30 April to share that her pet parrot, named Neo, flew away from an open window at her house the same day at 7pm in Seksyen 7, Shah Alam.

She said that Neo is five months old and that she has had the parrot since January.

Neo has a bright green body with a blue head and slight red feathers on the chest and tail.

Reina, who works as a travel and beauty vlogger, has also offered a RM2,000 reward to anyone who can help find and return her parrot

In an email to SAYS, a desperate Reina stated that she has been frantically searching for Neo.

She has also posted a video on Reels, in which she can be seen appealing to netizens to help her "find her baby". She described him as "tame" and that Neo loves humans.

Her video has also been shared on other social media platforms.

Speaking to this SAYS writer, Reina shared that a member of the public reached out to her to say that they saw Neo at Puncak 7, Shah Alam

"I went to the location and asked the guards and they told me the bird looked very familiar," she said, adding that she keeps going back every few hours to leave treats but there's been no sign of him.

"I have left flyers with information and the reward in any place I can as we suspect someone would actually keep him when found."
