Young Police Officer In Sibu Dies After He Was Shot In The Head While Playing Video Games
The victim, an ex-football player, had just been transferred to Sibu about a month and a half ago after completing his basic training as a police officer. He leaves behind a wife as well as a one-year-old child.

A police officer in Sibu died after he was shot in the head while playing video games at a colleague's home
According to Kosmo!, the victim has been identified as 24-year-old Norhalim Tumiran, who sustained injuries to the right side of his head and died at the scene.
The incident took place around 7.20pm yesterday, 6 May, at a home on Lorong Permai Timur 9A.
Meanwhile, the suspect, also a police officer, has been arrested and will be remanded for seven days starting today, 7 May.

It is believed that during the incident, the suspect was joking around with the victim before pointing the gun towards him and accidentally pulling the trigger
Sibu district police chief ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit told Astro Awani, "We were informed that a police officer was found dead sitting on a sofa inside a house with a bullet wound in his head, above his right ear."
Before he was shot, he had gone to the rental home of his colleagues to play video games while waiting to break his fast.
The deceased, who is originally from Pahang, had just been transferred to Sibu about a month and a half ago after completing his training as a police officer.
He was staying in a transit home at the Sibu district police headquarters and leaves behind a wife and a one-year-old child.

Authorities are still waiting for the results of the victim's COVID-19 swab test, pathology test, and post-mortem before the body can be transported back to his family
According to VOCKET FC, Norhalim was previously a football player who took part in the Pahang President's Cup from 2015 until 2016 with other notable players such as Nik Sharif Haseefy, Shahrul Nizam, Nur Izzat, and Zuhair Aizat.
He also participated in the Malaysia People's Football League before deciding to join the police force.
The case is currently being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
