Malaysian Badminton Players Show Off Official Attire For Paris Olympics 2024

National badminton player Pearly Tan, along with her partner Thinaah Muralitharan, are competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics

This will be the duo's first Olympic appearance in the women's doubles category.

Tan took to her Instagram today, 11 July, to share photos of the attire she will be wearing, featuring a black, red, white, and blue sports dress.

Badminton players Chen Tang Jie and Aaron Chia, who will be representing Malaysia in the mixed doubles and men's doubles, also shared photos of their outfits

Both men sported sleeveless tops and shorts with a similar design, showcasing contrasting colours of blue, white, black, and red.

Badminton Association Malaysia took to X to reveal the entire look for the badminton players who will be representing Malaysia at the Games.

This follows a recent controversy regarding the official attire initially unveiled for the Malaysian contingent to wear at the Olympics

The initial outfits drew criticism from Malaysians for their 'low-effort design', 'cheap quality', and being 'outdated'.

Many felt it was an embarrassing representation of the nation at such a large-scale global event, especially compared to other countries.

Following the backlash, the Olympic Council of Malaysia apologised and unveiled a new,  "fiercer" design.
